1. Introduction
The SLSA Operations app is a paperless patrol management suite produced by Surf Life Saving Australia for use by active surf lifesaving patrol members.
The latest feature-rich version is location-based and uses your current location for weather details, rescue locations, tracking of roving patrols and assets, and much more.
Use the ‘Activity feed’ tab to see what is happening around your club/service for the current day. Push notifications will alert you when it’s time to sign off. Use the Gear and Issues modules to perform gear inspections, view your club's equipment and report gear issues. Powercraft Logs can be filled out within the Operations App using the ‘Powercraft’ option in the main menu
Depending on your user access, below is a list of possible Operation App menu items.

Changes to Patrol Log Creation in Surfguard
The new version of the Operations App has also changed the process for the creation of the patrol log in Surfguard.
When you sign on the club via the Ops App the log is created in Surfguard at the time of sign on (previously the log was created at sign off).
All members in the patrol log will automatically show as a No Show.
As attendance is marked off in the Operations App the log in Surfguard will update every hour with the correct Patrol Type for each member.
Stats entered into the Ops App will also be updated in the patrol log each hour
When the club is signed off a PDF of the Patrol Log will be emailed to the Patrol Captain
Any club that does not sign off at the end of their patrol will automatically be signed off at 10.00pm to ensure no data is lost.
