How to transfer a family group member


  1. Select “Join/Transfer to a New Organisation” (Note: you will not be able to view this button if you are under 18 years old, a standard member of the family group, or have a pending New Family Group, New Family Group Member, Delete Family Group, Leave Family Group, Renew Club Membership, or Transfer request)

  1. Make your selections and select “Next”

Full Transfer (Leave your current club) – means moving your membership to a different surf club. Once your application is approved, you will no longer be a member of your current club. If you select this option and are presently a member of more than one club, you will be asked to select the club you wish to leave.

Competition rights transfer – Keep your membership at your current club(s) but move your competition rights to a new club. You will then have dual membership.

Non-competition rights transfer – Join another club while keeping your membership and your competition rights at your current club. You will then have dual membership.

  1. Enter or update any member details (if applicable)

  2. Tick to recognise and accept the Declaration and select “Submit”

  1. View a confirmation pop-up and select “Submit Request”

Your request is now successfully submitted!

Once the old and new club review and approves this request, the “Pending Transfer” indicator will be removed from the member’s name.

For Admins:

A request will appear in:

  • History - Requests page (of the primary member/user who submitted the request) in the SLS Hub:

    • with the request type of “Transfer” and a status of “Pending - Waiting on Club”

    • with the request type of “Transfer - First Name Last Name” for each individual they requested a transfer for in the family and a status of “Pending - Waiting on Club”

  • History - Requests page (of each standard member included in the family group transfer request) in the SLS Hub:

    • with the request type of “Transfer” and a status of “Pending - Waiting on Club”

Each request will also appear in SurfGuard: Transfers with a status of “New”.

On the More: Family Group’s page, the individuals transferring will be marked as “Pending Transfer”
