How to update my family member's details


  1. Select the edit button (Note: you won’t be able to view this button if you’ve just joined as a new member, your “New Club Membership” Request is in status “Pending”, and your Sub-Membership Category is “Probationary”)

  1. Update your details and select “Update”

  1. If you are a Primary Member of a family group, and you changed any of the following fields you will see a pop-up asking if you would like to also update your family group member’s info (Note: If you updated your email, you will be led down the path to verify your email address first):

  • Home Address

  • Postal Address

  • Mobile

  • Email

  • Emergency Contact:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Relationship

    • Mobile

    • Home

    • Work

    • Address Line 1

    • Address Line 2

    • Suburb / City

    • State

    • Postcode

    • Country

  • Home Address

  • Postal Address

  • Mobile

  • Email

  • Emergency Contact:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Relationship

    • Mobile

    • Home

    • Work

  1. Changes to your own details have been saved.

  • Changes made to the non-blue fields will save and be reflected here.

  • Changes made to the blue fields will be logged as a pending request and must be approved in SurfGuard by your club before they will be reflected here.

    • You won’t be able to make changes to any blue fields until your club approves the pending request or you cancel the request (Under More: History → Requests).

  1. To update details for someone in your family group select “Yes”

  2. View the “Update Details for Family Group Members” pop-up

  1. Tick the boxes to indicate which of your details you would like to a family member’s details.

    1. A family member’s name and details will be greyed out, their tick boxes disabled, and a red “Pending Approval” will show under their name if one of the following prerequisites are met:

      • they have a “New Club Membership” Request in status “Pending” and their Sub-Membership Category is “Probationary” OR

      • they have a “New Family Group Member” Request in status “Pending”

  2. Select “Update” to confirm your choices (Note: at least one of the boxes must be ticked in order for the “Update” button to be enabled)

Your family member’s details are now updated!

These changes should immediately save to the Member Details page/SG profile of the family member you updated.
