Member Quick Search

The Member Quick Search lets you quickly find a member without leaving your current screen. It’s designed for fast lookups when you already know some details about the member.

You can use the Member Quick Search to:

  • Find members as you type

  • Jump directly to a member’s details

  • Switch to the full Find Members screen if you need more search options

Search Members

Member Quick Search

  1. Start typing into the “Search Members” field at the top of the screen. You can search using:

    • First Name

    • Last Name

    • Member ID

    • Date of Birth

    • Email Address

    • Mobile Number

  2. Enter at least three characters

  3. Pause briefly while results load

  1. Select a member from the suggested result. This will take you directly to that member’s “View Member Details” page.

  1. If you can’t find the member you’re searching for, select “Find Members”.

  1. This takes you directly to the Find Members page, where you can filter to find the right member.

I can’t see the “Search Members” box

This feature is only available when you’re in the Memberships sub-application

  • Check that you’re in the Memberships sub-application

  • Contact the Helpdesk for assistance

No results appear while I’m typing

This may happen if:

  • Fewer than three characters have been entered

  • You haven’t paused long enough for results to load

  • No matching members exist within your accessible organisations

  • Enter more than three characters

  • Instead of First Name, try searching by Last Name, Member ID, Email Address, Phone Number

  • Use the Find Members screen for more advanced searching

  • SurfGuard user accounts are managed by each state centre. Contact your state centre using the appropriate form here to have them update the list of organisations you can access if needed.

I know the member exists, but they don’t appear

A member won’t appear in Member Quick Search if:

  • Their membership is still pending

  • They’ve been transferred out

  • Their Membership Status is archived, deceased, suspended, or expelled

  • You don’t have access to their organisation

I can’t see the “Go to Find Members” option

This option only shows if you have been given the relevant permission.

  • SurfGuard user accounts are managed by each state centre. Contact your state centre using the appropriate form here to have them update your permissions if needed.
