Relationships

The Relationships page allows authorised users to maintain the list of Relationship values used across SurfGuard when recording member details.

View Relationships

To view the list of Relationships:

  1. Open the menu

  1. Next, you have two options:

  • Scroll to the Maintenance section to find the Relationships section

  • Search for “Relationships” in the search bar at the top right hand side of the page

  1. Select the Relationships option

  2. View the Relationships page which shows a list including:

    • Relationship name

  1. Enter the Relationship name into the Search bar and select “Search”

  1. The list will update with the search results

Add/Edit Relationships

You can add or edit the list of Relationship only if you have the relevant permission to do so.

Option A: Add Relationship

  1. Select the “Add Relationship” button

  2. The Add Relationship drawer opens

  3. Add details

  4. Select Save to save your changes

  1. If successful, a confirmation message appears:

Option B: Edit Relationship

  1. Select one of the Relationships in the list

  2. The Edit Relationship drawer opens

  3. Update the details

  4. Select Update to save your changes

Delete Relationships

You can delete relationships only if you have the relevant permission to do so.

  1. Tick at least one of the relationships in the list

  1. Select the three vertical dots (kebab) in the top right of the screen

  2. Select “Delete selected records”

  1. Select “Delete”

  1. If successful, a confirmation message appears

I can’t see the Relationships option in the Menu

The Relationships section is only visible under the Maintenance menu item if:

  • You have Relationships = Can View permission, and

  • You are on the National level, and

  • You are viewing the Memberships application

  • SurfGuard user accounts are managed by each state office. Contact your state centre using the appropriate form here to have them update your permissions if necessary.

I can’t create a Relationship

You can only create a Relationship if you have the Relationships = Can Create permission.

I can’t edit a Relationship

You can only edit a Relationship if you have the Relationships = Can Update permission.

  • SurfGuard user accounts are managed by each state office. Contact your state centre using the appropriate form here to have them update your permissions if necessary.

I can’t delete a Relationship

You can only delete a Relationship if you have the Relationships = Can Delete permission.

  • SurfGuard user accounts are managed by each state office. Contact your state centre using the appropriate form here to have them update your permissions if necessary.
